After reading through the entire article, I got a general understanding of the information but it wasn’t the easiest reading to follow. The last paragraph summed up all of the prior reading very well. In my opinion, I think closer monitoring of the influenza virus should have been started a long time ago. It seems to me that they have tested and monitored in different ways over all the years but somehow the virus continued to be undetected in different forms, multiple times throughout history.
